The Strand in Lakewood Celebrates Christmas


The Strand in Lakewood, Ocean County, New Jersey has been a pillar in the community since 1922 and has entertained greats like President Grover Cleveland and John D. Rockefeller. The 94 Strand Anniversary Gala and A Very Big RoaD to Christmas 12/14

Tonight will be full of celebration at The Strand with music from The Big RoaD All-Star Big Band! The Gala Cocktail Party and Dinner will begin at 6pm – Tickets for which include an orchestra seat and cost $100. Music from The Big RoaD All-Star Big Band will begin at 8pm and tickets are $25 for general admission. It will be a night to remember and a grand way to celebrate the Christmas season and meet your fellow local theater enthusiasts.

The Nutcracker Ballet  12/18

This Christmas must-see and Holiday classic will be performed by the amazing Atlantic City Ballet and the Garden State Philharmonic! It’s sure to be a magical evening as Clara receives the gift of the Nutcracker, and proceeds to go on a great adventure through the battle with the mouse king, the land of the sugar plum fairy, and back home again. Children and Adults alike will be spellbound by this beloved ballet. It begins at 4pm.

The Strand also holds tours of the historic theater where you can learn about the vibrant history, see the architecture up close, explore the back-stage, and learn how the fly system works!
